As all of our designs are entirely hand-cut, painted and finished by the two of us, designs and colours may vary slightly from piece to piece although we try to reproduce what you see here as closely as possible. The thickness of the wood may also vary due to the availability from the suppliers. Please note that these are delicate pieces of art and not toys to be played with. They are strictly for display purposes only.
GENERAL INFORMATION ON PRODUCTS
All of our wooden plaques and door hangers are hand-painted in watercolour and finished with a polyurethane varnish. The backs are painted with a water-based black paint and wall plaques have a triangle hanger plus 2-3 small screws in the back for ease of hanging. Door-hangers come with a short piece of ribbon. Please note that these are delicate pieces of art and not toys to be played with and that wood can cause splinters. They are strictly for display purposes only and when used as such pose no or minimal risk to the user. Our paint your own kits contain small plastic pots of ready mixed poster colour paints, two strips of ribbon, a paintbrush, instructions and two wooden pieces. Wood can cause splinters. We advise that kits are only suitable for children of 6 years and above. Kits should only be used under adult supervision. All of our pieces carry the Victoria Burnett Designs logo on the back. The name of the individual piece is also inscribed on the back.
PERSONALISED NAME PLAQUES
Name plaques cost an additional £12.50 on top of the price of the piece. If the name required is particularly long, please take care to choose a piece of relevant size as some pieces are smaller than others. The dimensions given do not include the name plaque. Please ensure that all personal information is correct as we cannot exchange or refund products due to spelling errors. Names need to be put in writing and will be spelt exactly as sent to us. The name can be entered in the Name plaque name box that appears on each name plaque product page. If you wish to pay by cheque or over the phone, please email us the required name at email@example.com or enclose all the information with your cheque. If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us for advice.
PERSONALISE YOUR PIECE
For that little extra, why not have a personal message, name or date hand written on the back of your chosen piece? There is no charge for this. Simply add what you would like in the Add Comments About Your Order box that appears under both Delivery Method and Payment Method during the Check Out process. If this step is missed out by mistake, you can still email us the details at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
OUT OF STOCK
Out of stock items are still available to order, but may take several weeks to be made.
This piece would be very expensive to post out of the UK. If you are still interested, please contact us and we will be happy to give you a quote. Please contact us to arrange collection from either Wiltshire, Worcestershire or at one of our events (see Events) if you are within the UK.
You have the right to cancel any order up to seven working days starting from the day after you receive it. We must receive a request to cancel the order in writing or by email, and will refund the full cost of the order including the cost of postage and packaging within 30 days of receiving the written request. Refunds will be actioned sooner if the goods are received back by us intact and in their original condition as soon as possible. We will not cover the cost of the return postage.
If an item is faulty or arrives in some way damaged please contact us with details as soon as you receive the order. Once we have received the item back from you we will issue a full refund including the original cost for postage and packaging.
In all cases we advise that you retain a certificate of posting.
We cannot offer refunds on personalized or bespoke pieces, unless they have arrived damaged.
Payment can be made by credit or debit card using our online secure Paypal site. Payment can also be made by credit or debit card over the phone or by cheque. If you are paying by cheque please allow 10 days for it to clear. Please make cheques payable to Victoria Burnett Designs and post to the address listed on the CONTACT US page.
PURCHASING ONLINE VIA PAYPAL
Once items have been added to your shopping cart you can continue to update or remove pieces, or continue shopping before checking out. Once you have started the Check Out process you may still go back to your Shopping Cart to add or delete a piece by clicking directly on the Shopping Cart button. Once you have clicked on Confirm Order you will be taken to the Paypal login page. Prior to logging in you may use the back button on your browser to return to your Shopping Cart.
The contract to purchase becomes legally binding only once you have logged into Paypal and have selected the Pay Now button. If you wish to cancel the transaction at this point, you can select the Cancel and Return to Victoria Burnett Designs option that appears under the Pay Now button.
Upon completion of the transaction you will receive a confirmation email from Paypal. No other confirmation will be sent unless requested from us, by you. If you do not have a Paypal account then you can login as a ‘Guest’ and Paypal will still issue the payment.
You can be assured that all information given to us will be confidential, kept safe and used only to process your order. We do send out a Newsletter twice a year and complimentary ticket offers to some of our events. If you would like to join our Newsletter list to receive these updates and offers tick the Yes box to subscribe when setting up your account. You can unsubscribe at any point by going to your Account page, selecting Newsletter and ticking the No box.
